Bailey has desperately needed a haircut for a while now. She would get this sad look on her face every time she brushed her hair in the morning. We decided it was definitely time for her to get her first haircut. She was thrilled.
I would always have to put a barrette in her hair to keep her hair out of her eyes, but she would usually take it out.
We went to Jelly Beans, a salon just for kids. Bailey had fun with all the toys while we were waiting.
Bailey did NOT enjoy getting her hair cut. I thought she would like sitting in the little car they had for her, but she hated it. I think she was a little overwhelmed and confused by everything going on. I ended up just having to hold her, so she would stop crying, but even then, she was still upset.
All done, and SO much better! No more shaggy, in-the-eyes, mullet-approaching hairdo. And now she doesn't even need a barrette to keep her hair out of her eyes.
She got a certificate with some locks of her hair.
She also got a balloon and some jelly beans. She loved both.
I wasn't planning on giving her any of the jelly beans, but she figured out how to get to them through the bag.
So, I gave up and gave her some.
With the new haircut, Bailey definitely has a new bounce to her step.
