While my family was here, we made our first trip to Charleston. We've heard so many times what an amazing city it is, so we were excited to finally see it.
Bailey was having a hard time falling asleep in the car. She was really upset until I gave her her bunny, then she calmed right down and went to sleep.
Zach also tapped into his uncle powers and kept her entertained in the car. We really appreciated his help.
Bailey loved walking around on the sand and in the water.
Grandpa showed Bailey some shells. She liked them and started finding some herself.
When Bailey gets especially interested and excited about something, she crouches down like this to get a better look. It's so cute.
Zach was the only brave one to go in the water. It was a warm day, but the water was cold (not as cold as Lake Michigan though, so it was warmer than what we're used to).
Bailey would chase the waves, but when they came back, she would get scared and want us to pick her up. It was funny. She never quite learned though; she kept doing it over and over again.
Grandma showing Bailey the wonders of sand.
It was so funny because at one point, Bailey was on the blanket, and she wanted something in the sand, but she did NOT want to touch one toe to the sand. She kept reaching and reaching.
When it was time to go, Bailey definitely looked like a kid who spent all day at the beach. She had sand ALL over her.
That night, we had dinner at Chile's. Bailey left her usual mark whenever she eats. Half her food always ends up on the floor. When she's done with it, she can't just leave it, she has to throw it.
Grandpa reading by the pool.
The next morning, Lauren was roaming the halls with Bailey while we waited for everyone to get ready to hit the pool again.
Next up, downtown Charleston. We walked to Market Street where they have a ton of buildings filled with people selling all kinds of different things. We didn't even walk through all of them because there were just too many.
This is a cool fountain at the Waterfront Park. Bailey loved it.
Bailey wants to follow any dog that happens to pass us. Usually people are nice enough to let her pet them.
Zach, Skigh, and I walked down the boardwalk.
Still at the Waterfront Park, Bailey was having some one-on-one Grandpa time while we were walking around. He took her to the swings, and she loved it.
She was so calm and peaceful.
She definitely loves her Grandpa Kellogg.
It was windy by the ocean. Bailey's hair looked so funny at one point, but I didn't really capture it very well in this picture.
With a cool door.
Bailey trying to catch up with Grandpa.
We loved Charleston. There's SO much to see and do.

These pictures are amazing! I love the picture of you and Bailey by the ocean and then the one of the three of you. You guys are the perfect family. Also the very last one of Bailey is so incredible. You've GOT to get that into a frame. I don't know why I like it so much... but I do! Thanks for the update. So fun to see pics. Love you guys.
