Greenville Zoo

The last day that Skigh's family was here, we went to the Greenville Zoo for the first time. Bailey is finally old enough to notice the animals, but she was still more interested in a stroller or bush that we would pass on our way. She did like the elephants though.

And she really liked the giraffes. They were her favorite. She kept pointing at them.

She thought this iguana was cool until it suddenly jumped up on the ledge right by her. She moved into Skigh's arms pretty fast.

Bailey loves people. She's always saying hi to anyone we see.

She actually cooperated and looked out of the hole in the sign long enough so we could take her picture.

But then she decided she wanted to crawl out of the sign, but since that's not a real ladder, I decided that probably wasn't a good idea.

The lion was actually up and walking around as opposed to napping. Pretty exciting.

Looking at the gorillas. One of the gorillas, Bob, was born on Bailey's birthday (two years earlier).

Bailey liked the farm animals. She crouched down so she could get a good look at the pig.

Maybe she didn't like the smell.

She soon grew bored with the animals and became interested in the cones.

At least she would still glance at the animals every now and then.

The zoo has a great park, so on our way out, we had to stop by. Bailey loved the swings the last time we were here (around Halloween), so we were surprised when she wanted nothing to do with them. She cried when we tried to put her in. She just wanted to climb on things and explore.

Why would you sit on something when you can stand?

After the zoo, we went to Falls Park. One of Bailey's favorite things to do is to go up and down stairs. Any stairs. So, of course, we were delighted to find that we were sitting right next to some.

Another cute thing that Bailey does: anytime there's a blanket out on the floor, she lies down on it, face down, and rolls around. She loves it. It's so funny.

And to top it all off, an ice cream cone. What a good day.
