Lewis Family Visit

After my family's spring break was over, they headed back home as Skigh's family was traveling out here to spend their spring break with us. We had two solid weeks of company. It was fun, and Bailey loved having so many people around.
At the end of the week, we went to Charleston again. We hit the beach first. It was chili and windy, but the water felt warm. Here's Skigh, Bailey, and Grandma Lewis.
Bailey loved walking around in the sand.

Katie was trying to keep warm.

Bailey walking towards a flock of seagulls.

Grandpa and Grandma Lewis.

Looking for shells. They found some pretty big ones. Bailey loved them and kept looking for more.

Trying to keep warm.

The next day, we decided to go see Fort Sumter where the Civil War began. Bailey prefers to help push her stroller rather than ride in it.

We took a boat to get to the fort, and there were tons of seagulls following us. It was the coolest thing.

Fort Sumter is in the background.

Heading straight for the stairs. Bailey loves climbing stairs.

Everything in these pictures is original to the fort.

The cannons were authentic.

Trying to listen to the tour guide.

We gave up after awhile and decided to explore on our own.

The view from the top of the fort was amazing.

There was a sailboat competition going on nearby. It was really cool to watch.

Grandpa Lewis.

There was also a museum inside the fort.

An original flag.

Heading back to the boat.

Bailey zonked out on the way back. One second she was eating a cracker and the next, she was completely asleep. Poor girl.

What a lucky little girl to have such a great family and so many neat things so close by. She's really beautiful, Berkley.
