Fourth of July

The day before the fourth of July, we had a party with a bunch of friends. BBQ, fireworks, and lots of kids running around. Bailey was actually pretty brave during our little fireworks show. Other kids had to go inside (crying) because it was so loud, but she enjoyed them for the most part. Sawyer, on the other hand, was not a fan. I spent most of the time covering his ears. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the night. The next day, on the fourth of July (a Sunday this year), we had another little get-together with some friends. It was more low-key, but Bailey still had a lot of fun. We had dinner and then made our way outside where our friends gave all the little kids their own flags. They loved this.

We also brought sparklers, unsure of whether we would use them or not since the oldest kids there were two. We decided to try it out.

And they ended up being a huge hit. I was thinking Bailey would be afraid of getting burned (since sparklers can kind of get your hand a little), but she loved it. We did them over and over again until they were all gone.

Then we ended the evening with a freedom march around the backyard. Happy Fourth!

Looks like a great time. And how fun that Bailey got to do sparklers!
