Weekend of Shopping

My sister, Meagan, and her husband, John, came to visit this past weekend. Skigh and John were busy working on Saturday, so Meagan and I went shopping. I don't think I've ever been to more stores in one day. Skigh began the day with us but only lasted for three stores. We did a lot of baby browsing-mostly looking at cribs. Skigh got to see firsthand how expensive things are, so that was helpful. We didn't make any major purchases, but we need to soon since our free weekends before the baby arrives are very limited. Also, if anyone has any advice on baby products or items that you couldn't do without or wish you would have had, I would love to hear!

Love the pictures- you're looking great! Shopping with sisters is so fun, not sure why husbands don't enjoy it as much (hee hee.) When we moved out here some families were selling baby furniture and a swing and exersaucer that we got for cheap, so you may want to wait and see what you find in SC. Brad made our crib you know so I'm really no help there. Good luck!

I went really cheap on some stuff and spent some money on others. We bought our crib and pack-n-play (which we used in our room when he was a newborn) for $30 at a garage sale. A couple weeks later, I found a comfy glider with a matching ottoman for $400 at BabiesRUs and we bought it. Expensive, but I do NOT KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO without it! At 3 am, then 4 am, then 5 am, it's nice to sit in a comfortable chair while feeding. My advice is to splurge on a few things but really go cheap on stuff that you don't mind going cheap on. I would check out garage sales for sure. Oh, and I also spent money on his car seat. I didn't want to go cheap on that since it was a safety issue. Okay, I'm done!
