Idaho

After the wedding and other festivities in Colorado, Skigh had to fly back home for work, but Bailey and I headed up to Idaho to spend the week with Aunt Beth and Uncle Eric. I was worried about this trip a little because she's never been in the car so long. We drove a few hours to get to Orem where we met Beth and Eric. Then we took a short break and drove the rest of the way up to Rexburg. Bailey, unlike many babies, doesn't usually sleep in the car. She hates car rides and usually cries most of the way. Well, she almost slept the entire time. I was relieved.

Bailey had a lot of fun adventures at Beth and Eric's. First off, they didn't have an infant bathtub, so we had to improvise with the kitchen sink. Bailey thought this was very cool.

As you can tell by the confident look on her face, she has a very healthy body image.

She also got to watch her Uncle Eric's football game.

She was so happy to see Aunt Beth again, and she's especially excited to meet her new cousin in October.

Another thing I was nervous about this trip: flying home alone with her. I have flown with her alone before, but never for such a long flight (4 1/2 hours!). I didn't know how she was going to be. Well, luckily again, she was WONDERFUL. When she wasn't sleeping, she was happily smiling and cooing at anyone who would pay attention. She was a huge hit with the ladies on the plane. After the flight when I was on the way to baggage claim, I hear this older couple burst out laughing behind me. I turn around, and they tell me that Bailey is just giving them the biggest grin. I was SO happy everything went so smoothly.

Thanks, Beth and Eric, for such a fun trip! We miss you!
