Bailey was very excited for her birthday. We started talking about it a couple weeks before, and she told me that she wanted to "blow out candles, have balloons, have friends over, and have cake." I asked her what kind of cake she wanted, and she said, "Umm...a yummy one." I have no idea where she got the idea that all those things happen when it's your birthday. It's amazing the things little kids pick up.
On the day of her birthday, we opened up her presents after she woke up from her nap. She was excited when she saw everything.

She didn't hesitate to hop right on her new bike. (We actually got it for her for Christmas, but she got so many gifts, we decided to save it for her birthday.) She's also talking on her new phone that came with the new kitchen.
She got her first two Disney movies from Grandma and Grandpa Kellogg (Snow White and Sleeping Beauty). She also got a gigantic bag of M&M's from them (which I looked at as more of a gift for me). She also got cards and gifts from Great-Grandma and Grandpa Kellogg, Great-Grandma Miller, Great-Aunt Terri, and Great-Aunt Trish. Plus, she received many phone calls and text messages that day from her aunts and uncles. She's lucky to have so many people who care about her.
The birthday cake.
Unfortunately, all the pictures from her birthday party somehow got deleted. I have no idea what happened. All the pictures of her blowing out her candles, eating cake, playing with her friends, etc... are all lost. At least we still have these pictures from the very end of her party. We had some good friends over for some food and cake and a little Wii. Bailey loved having everyone over.
After everyone had gone home, we tried to get a family shot, but she would have nothing to do with it.
Since the original pictures were lost, we had to reenact the blowing out of the candle. Bailey didn't mind.
She first attempts to blow the candle out with her mind.
Happy 2nd birthday, Bailey! Thank you to everyone who remembered Bailey on her special day.
