Atlanta

We've lived in South Carolina for 3.5 years now, and this is the first time we have ever been to Atlanta. We kind of avoid it because we've always heard the traffic is horrendous, but we decided to pay our first visit to attend the Atlanta Temple Open House. They completed quite a large renovation and had a rededication.

I was excited for Bailey to be able to see the inside of the temple. She always gets so excited whenever we go to the Columbia Temple, but she never gets to see much of the inside. It was definitely special to be able to take her from room to room and explain everything she was seeing.

The open house ran amazingly smoothly. They were ushering thousands of people around that day, and we had to wait surprising little. They even had plenty of cookies waiting for us when we were through.

Bailey found a ladybug. Her favorite.

After the open house, we went to the Atlanta Aquarium. It's the largest aquarium in the world, so we were excited to see it. (Bailey refused to look at the camera. She was upset because she wasn't allowed to touch the dolphin.)

This huge tank had to be one of the coolest things there. There were even some whale sharks and beluga whales inside.

Bailey was brave enough to stick her hand in the stingray tank but never got quite deep enough to touch one.

Chasing the birds afterwards.

How awesome that Bailey got to go see the inside of the Temple. I bet it was beautiful. The aquarium sounds so fun. You're such a mean mom. You should have just let Bailey climb under the blue rope and touch the dolphin...maybe next time.
