Around the House

Bailey is now officially a toddler, and it's becoming more and more difficult to entertain her. I realized she needed more planned activities, so I've been coming up with a list of things to do with her. We tried coloring for the first time, playing with water and soap bubbles outside, sidewalk chalk, and homemade play-doh. Here are some pictures of her entertaining herself around the house. She gets a kick out of the funniest things.
She LOVES holding the broom. Anytime I'm sweeping inside or outside, she wants to hold it as soon as I'm done and try to sweep the floor.

She also loves taking the top handle off the broom and trying to put it back on again. It fascinates her.

She loves having some sort of container full of things. She likes to take everything out and put them back in.

She also loves having a purse or bag of some kind. She likes carrying my bag around the house, but it's too heavy for her, and she gets frustrated. So, I have some empty bags for her to use. She loves it. Also, every morning, Skigh puts his lunch in a bag to take to work. Bailey insists on carrying it to the door for him. Every morning.

She also really enjoys playing our keyboard. She wants to play it all the time.

Another favorite thing-- trying on clothes. Anyone's clothes. This is Skigh's shirt that she brought over to me and wanted me to put on her. She also likes to try on his shoes, my shoes, hats, gloves, necklaces... whatever she can find. This girl already loves to play dress up. She also will take her shorts or shirts and put her arm through them. She'll have a few pairs of shorts on her arm at one time. We've also been painting our house, and she likes to take the painter's tape and put them all on her arm like bracelets.

Practicing the Pledge of Allegiance.

We have a fan in our bedroom and one in Bailey's. The first thing she does when she goes in either room is turn on the fan.

Here she is starting to put some shorts on her arm like I was explaining earlier.

Playing with the homemade play-doh. I also gave a her a little bowl of flour. Luckily she didn't make that big of a mess with it.

Of course she had to taste a little. Good thing it's edible.

She's definitely a lot busier these days.

We have an art or a theatre major on our hands. When she's about 6, we'll have you bring her up for summer theatre... it'll be a blast.

The most precious in this post? That she insists on carrying Skigh's lunch bag to the door each morning. Honesty... does it get any cutier than that?

Love the shirts and love the bags she carries. Simply stated... love everything she does.

She is so adorable. I love the pony tail and it also amazes me how they can sit like that. Watching her try on clothes is too cute. She's so happy!

The imagination and play of a lit'l one. :) SO ADORABLE!!! I love these adorable pics. It makes me want to step into the world of a toddler again ... just see what it feels like. I forgot what it's like to be that age again... although I think that is part of the sweetness of parenting. It brings parents back to those sweet stages of life again. Brings a smile to my face. I also LOVE her lit'l pony tail. SO CUTE!
