Summer Days

Bailey has really been enjoying this summer so far. She loves being outside, and she loves playing with water.

She likes her octopus sprinkler, especially trying to drink from it.

One day, we played with water and bubbles. She loved it.

She especially loved stirring the water with the spoon or spatula.

We also bought some sidewalk chalk. She mostly likes carrying the little box around, taking the chalk out, and putting it back in again. She does color every now and then, too.

So cute.

We also got her a little toy lawn mower. She really has fun pushing it around the yard, especially when Skigh is mowing the lawn.

We've also had fun this summer going to our neighborhood pool. This was the first time went. One of her friends let her try on his goggles. She thought they were pretty cool.

Swimming wears you out.

She absolutely loves carrying around her sunscreen. Everytime I put it on her, she insists on holding it.

We also got a little kiddy pool for our backyard. I wasn't at all planning on getting the type of pool we ended up getting. I just wanted a simple pool. But this pool had really good reviews, and it looked like so much fun, I just couldn't resist.

Bailey has fun in it. Her favorite thing is to throw all her toys from one section of the pool to the other. She spends most of her time doing that.

We've also been going to Bouncing Babies at our public library since Bailey was little. It's funny to see her personality change. Around one year old, she was so independent and not hesitant at all. As soon as we got there, she would be fine walking around on her own. At the end, they let them play with toys, and she would just go off and play, not even noticing if I was in the room or not. Now that she's gotten older, she much more hesitant. When we first get there, she just likes to look around and watch everyone. When it's time to play with the toys, she won't go by herself. She always takes my hand and wants me to go with her. She really enjoys it though. Her favorite parts are the songs and the bubbles. They also have puppets that she likes.

Back at the pool... Bailey loves the kiddy pool and has gotten quite brave in the water compared to the first time we went. She'll just go right in and sit down in the water. She also loves it when other kids are in the pool. She'll just go right up to them and say hi.

She also likes going in the big pool. We'll start in the kiddy pool, and then she'll eventually point to the other pool when she's ready to go in it.

We've also gotten quite a bit of rain this spring/summer. Bailey loves running around in the rain.

Skigh decided to go out with her this particular time. I have no idea how the sprinkler ended up on top of the pool.

There's also a playground and tennis courts next to the pool. Bailey has grown to love the slide. She didn't used to like it, but now she'll go down it over and over again (with our help).

She loves climbing up the steps.

Definitely a future tennis player.

She was so hot and exhausted after playing at the park. What a good day.

Pool time at home. Her facial expressions are so funny.

It's been a good summer so far.
