For one last hurrah before my mom left, we went to the zoo.
This boy was great, as usual.
Okay, hilarious story about a heroic grandma. Bailey was looking over the fence at the giraffes and dropped her sippy cup. My mom, almost lightning fast, dives over the fence to retrieve it. It was amazing. I tried to get a picture, but I wasn't fast enough. Just imagine her head first bending over this fence, feet in the air, trying to grab a sippy cup before the giraffes come for it. Now that's a grandma who will do anything for her grandchildren.
So, I always think it's depressing to see the lions and tigers in a zoo because they're almost always sleeping. They just seem so depressed. But then I read that they sleep most of the time in the wild, too, so I guess that makes me feel a little better. And I guess I hope they were rescued from some tragic circumstance.
The mister has got to be Bailey's favorite part of going to the zoo.
She's always completely soaked by the time she's done.
It was so nice having Grandma here while Skigh was gone. I don't know what we would have done without her. It would have been much lonelier and much more work on my part. Thanks for coming to visit, Mom!
